Data Analyst (Mailing Data)

Main function: To process incoming name/address data for mailings.

Person specification: Excellent IT data processing skills including knowledge of DOS and Windows operating systems, file formats and conversion issues, Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel & Access). VBA skills are an advantage as is MCP certification. Experience of PrintShopMail and Royal Mail tariff discounts (MailSort, WalkSort) software are an advantage. Excellent attention to detail. Must enjoy working under pressure to tight deadlines without losing attention to detail. Excellent time management skills are required as the Data Analyst is often responsible for processing mailing data for several jobs at any one time. The successful candidate also needs to have excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively relay technical issues to a non-technical audience.

Senior Developer - ASP.NET MSSQL

Your skills in ASP.NET/C#, ASP.NET 2.0, classic ASP, HTML/CSS, MS SQL Server (DB design, stored procedures, DTS, triggers), MS Access VBA, XML/XSLT, and AJAX are required by the UK's leading experts in the field of election administration and associated services, ensuring democracy is effected fairly and cost-effectively. You are from an ASP web development background, have upgraded your skills to .NET, and your communication skills enable you to mentor junior developers in this and other technologies. You are a self-starter, confident in your skills and have experience writing design documents and coming up with architectural solutions. We are in the process of expanding our development team to 6 full-time staff to comprise a Project Manager, four Developers and one Tester, and we want you primarily to design the .NET refactoring of the company's bespoke applications and be the lead developer on these implementations. The role may also involve maintenance of existing applications in ASP/MS Access. You may have experience of projects managed with PRINCE2, Software Quality Assurance under BS5750/ISO9001 and Information Security Management under ISO17799, and enjoy working in an environment where these methodologies are applied agilely to a small team.
